Research- Deconstruction of digipak

This is a deconstructions of the 'digipak' for micheal buble. I chose him because his music and image are of the genre I am focusing on for my media product (American country/Pop) with guitars.
This is the front cover to micheal buble's album, it uses a frame shot with his hands and the yellow name strips framing his face, they do this to symbolise micheal as the most important part of the album. They use the yellow colour becasue it connotates the sun which is bright and gives light to the world symbolising his album is bright and fun.

The picture on the left is another frame shot in the door way this also shows him relaxing in a holiday location with the parm tree in the side of the shot.

Micheal is wearing a suit which conveys smart and official showing the listerner he is serious about singing and making music.

On the right and side the background colour changes and has a yellow colour effect to the background. He numbers each song title and in bold blue writting he puts the titles to each of his songs in order of them on the CD. Underneath the title he writes all the companies and names of people who helped to put the song together which gives a feel of care and gratification.

This is the back to the digipak, the main focus point to his back page is the happy picture of MB smiling. This gives his fans a warm feeling to see he is happy. The back colour is a grey/white which is a clear colour to make full focus on MB.

Through the middle they have listed all the songs throught the album so they can choose which song they'd like to listern to easily.

In small writting they list producers and co-producers who helped put the album together. This is in small font so it doesnt take concentration of the main point of the CD.

The CD for the album has a white clear background with a gold sign strip across the bottom with his name and album name. The is because gold is a precious metal, the color gold is associated with wealth and value and he wants to portray that his able has value and is precious.

At the top of the CD he has the songs listed for the album.

Throughout this digipak MB uses a colour scheme of yellow and blue.

The yellow symbolises cheerfulness and is a gre eye catcher. The yellow gives the CD a calm feeling and he has done this because he wants his fans to feel relaxed while listerning to his CD, rather than using a dark, dull colour which would give the wrong impression of MB songs. He wants listerners to feel happy while listerning to his music.
This is the firs thing you see when opening the CD case, this straight away is a major eye catcher. He uses a range of colours because it is a away of getting you to think this is a fun CD before you have even brought it, a very good selling factor- capture the customer before they have even heared it.
