Research- Deconstruction of digipak

This is a deconstruction of the album 'Sunny side up' by Paolo Nutini. I chose this album because Paolo Nutini is known for his good music and the use of guitars. I will follow this through into my music video by including the guitar in the digipak and video by making it a prominent feature.

The picture is a man (meant to be Paolo Nutini) in cartoon form sitting in a cafe eating breakfast looking totally oblivious to anything around him. We know this because he is eating while sitting next to a swarm of flies paying no attention to his surroundings.
In the back picture there is a rainbow this is a mix of all the colours and a child floating away with some ballons giving the CD a unrealistic feeling.




His name is writting in large white with red boarder writting across the top of the CD so you know who it is and the album name underneath is orange letters. The colour orange connotes a sense of energy, meaning there is energy in his songs and warmth. In the background to this CD there is his guitar proped up against the wall this shows he takes his guitar everywhere with him.
The colour scheme used on the back is yellow, red and green.
The colour yellow symbolises happiness and joy suggesting his CD gives joy.
The colour red symbolises love and passion this shows he has love for his music
The colour green symbolises nature. It is the easiest color on the eye and can improve vision. It is a calming, refreshing color bringing the outisde into his music.

On the left hand side he uses a red colour for the back scheme and puts the song lyrics to his songs this way he his fans can sing along to his songs and understand the meaning for his music. The title for his songs are in capitals and bold yellow.
On the right hand side there is a picture of paolo nutini standing in a green field with trees with his guitar symbolising its his most important object within his music.





This is the middle page of his digipak booklet. This shows all pictures from paolo nutinis life and fans. Showing the listerners that he is just like a normal person even though he's famous.








This is the back of the digipak they have used the same colour patterns as the front of the album and the name of artist and album name.
