We researched into songs of our social group, but deicded we didnt want to choose a song in the charts and wanted to find a upcoming song because we didnt want our target audience to have a pre-concived image of what was in the music video. We decided to look through Youtube and music sites to find new songs by unknown artists this took a lot of research and listerning to different music genres to come to a choose of a few songs when norrowing the videos down we choose two song which where different and could have two completely different videos too, we found this idea of searching for a song very successful and come to a overall descission by asking the songs social group which song they prefered without showing them the offical video.
The two songs we asked people to compare were:
The Band Perry- Hip to my Heart
Never Shout Never- Can't stand It
The overall favourite song was 'Hip to my Heart' by The Band Perry which is being realeased in the UK at the end of October 2010.
