digipak primary sources -editing process back cover

BACK COVER

For our front cover we wanted an original design, with something that would stand out from most other artists Cd's and compete against other artist for the effects on the CD covers, such as Mika's album 'Life in cartoon motion' which displays a cover of animated colour effects or Bruno Mars album 'Just the way you are' with a picture of a girls face which is covered in purple dots to form the silhouette of the face.

(Bruno Mars- Just the way you are)

(Mika- Life in cartoon Motion)

We decided to capture our singer and put her in a jar that she couldn't get out of, we did this because its very memorable and posed this to the audience why was she in the bottle and would she escape.

We captured an image of the main singer standing how we would want her to be in the jar- then shrank the image to fit in the size of the jar. We cut around the outside of the model and pasted it into the background of the other picture we had captured. We decided to use this background because it was rural and a desirable scenery.

I changed the model to the appropriate size and edited the effects of the picture editing:

  • Light
  • Transparent
  • Sharping the image to make the image appear striking

Using the paintbrush tool I painted over the parts I wanted to remove; I then added a lens flare to make it more exciting and eye catching.

The steps taken to transform the image:-

Picture One

Picture Two-

Picture Three- Final Transformation

This is the final product transformation we edited the light above the jar to make it more appealing to the eye, we also dimmed the background light.
